Support for young people

Inkpots offers young people a warm, welcoming creative community where they can relax, make friends and express themselves. Our programmes are designed to nurture self expression and expand horizons, as well as being fun and a break from school and exam pressures.

Young people can be part of Inkpots in these ways:

*We are very proud of our unique, creative space at The Burgess Hill Academy .This means that we are able to offer groups and courses within the Academy, and work closely with the senior leadership team there to blend our services with those of the school.

*1:1 sessions are delivered by Gill via Zoom and offer a young person the chance to develop their creative writing projects, receiving feedback on story form, character development and plot management.

*Transition from primary to secondary school is a crucial step for all young people. At Inkpots, we have the skills and experience to support this step. We have plans in the pipeline for activities over the next few weeks which will be shared soon.

*It’s a great pleasure to work with young teen writers on our programme which lasts five weeks. Please check here for information about when the programme next starts.

*We also run creative writing activities during school holidays. Please Gill for the latest session details.
