Miraculous Miranda by Siobhan Parkinson – reviewed by Miranda Brown

Miranda is marvellous and magnificent – and the creator of a wonderful, magical world of her own. A place where stories never end and wishes come true…

Miraculous Miranda has been read and reviewed by another Miranda – who goes to our London Meed after school club.

Storyline: Miranda is trying to make a miracle but while she is at school, her big sister Gemma is in hospital

Illustrations: Interesting

Word difficulty: OK

What I liked best: I liked the island called Magnaminous which Miranda made up.

What I didn’t like: I didn’t like that a boy called Josh, who was Gemma’s age, died.

Favourite character and why: My favourite character was Miranda because she had the same name as me and she is enthusiastic.

Would you highly recommend this book: Yes

Age range: 8 – 11 years
