We are very proud to be collaborating with the Burgess Hill Academy to run a drop-in session every Monday lunchtimes for students in Years 7 and 8.
The current group discuss books, authors, story ideas and competitions. They work on their own creative projects as well as group work. This is also a space where we can talk about any worries or issues during the transition time from primary school.
Inkpots at Burgess Hill Academy will be running during the summer term from:
Monday 29 April 2019 – Monday 8 July 2019
There will be no meetings on Monday 6 and 27 May 2019
Each session costs £5 and can be paid on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Please book in HERE.
**New creative space**
We are currently working with the Academy to develop an area just off the library into a safe, creative space for students. Members of our group are master-minding the transformation, which is well underway. We are very grateful to have received some donations of equipment but still need lots of items to make the space fabulous, including:
*Rugs, cushions and beanbags
*Paint and brick-effect wallpaper
*Pine table and chairs
*Secondhand leather-effect settee and chairs
If you would be able to donate any of these items, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or the office at the Burgess Hill Academy.
